About the Artist

Glass Dog Studio artist, Beth Schwersky, at work in her studio

For the past thirteen years, artist Beth Schwersky has been creating sculptural wall pieces out of stained glass and copper in her studio. From sea turtles and marine mammals to motorcycles and life-sized musical instruments, Beth has designed a myriad of amazing pieces in her career as a mixed-media artist.

Recently, her passion for dogs has led her to open the Glass Dog Studio, which specializes in close-to-lifesize 3-D depictions of dogs’ faces. Although many breeds are already available for order, Beth creates custom orders at no additional charge. Your very own dog could be a Glass Dog Studio "art dog" portrait sculpture! (See ordering information below for details.)

These also make fabulous dog art gifts for your favorite dog lover...

Customizing Your Glass Dog Studio Order

In addition to the many breeds shown on this page and in the galleries linked below, Beth can create a fanciful replica of your favorite dog for the same price as the breeds shown here! If you supply a photo when you place your order, Beth can make a glass and copper piece especially for you and your family.

You can choose the color of their collar and whether you'd like her to use a natural palette of glass colors or a more fanciful palette (blue ears for example!)

More About the Pieces

Each of these whimsical Glass Dog Studio dog sculptures vary in size, depending on the breed chosen and whether their ears stick up or down, but the average size is approximately 10 inches high x 10 inches wide, and the depth is approximately 2" to 2-1/2" inches deep. Snouts, noses and dog tags are all rendered 3-dimensionally. Many breeds also have 3-dimensional ears. Materials used are stained glass and copper (both sheet and wire), and all have a hanger on the back.

Beth's creations are all unique, individual pieces of art. No two pieces are exactly alike! Glass Dog Studio sculptures are a fun and beautiful addition to your own home's decor, and also make a special gift for any dog-lover.
